Mohamed Elsayed Hussein, PhD

Welcome to my home page!

I am an Associate Professor at the Computer and Systems Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. Since August 2017, I have been a Computer Scientist at the Information Sciences Institute, which is part of the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California. From fall 2014 to August 2017, I was also an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology. During and after my PhD, I spent a sum of 30 months working with the Imaging Group at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs.

I obtained my PhD in 2009 from the Department of Computer Science, University of Maryland at College Park, under the supervision of Prof. Larry Davis.
